In a recent interview with our Cyber Security and GDPR services lead, Peter Speck, we learnt about the launch of new Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) marketplace, for public sector customers and the impact this will have for resellers as this market expands for services. However, Quality Assurance Testing (QAT), one of the latest DPS frameworks to be launched, has arrived somewhat undetected; despite offering a real opportunity for resellers to extend project budgets and overall margin.
QAT services deliver independent quality assurance and ensure that the introduction of new digital systems or services, are suitable for public launch. Essentially, the public sector client is buying confidence in the fact that their solution is resilient and meets a pre-approved set of standards.
Q&AT2 (for IT systems) was launched in December 2019 and is planned to run for four years. The DPS provides an online portal that streamlines the procurement process for buyers and suppliers. With both central government and a wider audience of public sector purchasing teams involved, QAT will have a broad appeal for the foreseeable future.
